Carlos de Cores Helguera has graduated in 1979 with a degree in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. He has an extensive career as a legal advisor and is a renowned academic both nationally and internationally. In 2014, he received his PhD in Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – Madrid, Spain. He is a member of prestigious councils in national and international institutions concerning legal affairs, and participates regularly as a lecturer in conferences in areas of his expertise. His extensive list of publications are proof of his knowledge and relevance in the academic world.

Carlos de Cores Helguera is a professor and researcher in civil property law. His area of study is the law of obligations, contracts and civil liability. He also conducts teaching and research in banking and financial markets law, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
